In the beautiful forests of Finnskogen, on the shores of Lake Skasen, you will find Skasenden Spiseri – a welcoming place for both local guests and visitors.

Here you can take a break from your journey, enjoy the view of the surrounding nature, and sit down for a good meal in relaxed surroundings.

In our kitchen we prepare food with a focus on quality ingredients and authentic flavours. Our menu combines classic Norwegian dishes with some of our own favourites.

Among our guests’ favourites you will find:

• Flesk og duppe (traditional Norwegian pork dish)

• Fresh Arctic char

• Game dishes

• Traditional Norwegian home-style cooking

Our menu changes throughout the season, but we always make sure our guests can enjoy well-known and comforting dishes.

If you have allergies or need gluten-free options, we are happy to adapt the menu whenever possible.

A Restaurant with History

Skasenden Spiseri has been part of Finnskogen Tourist Centre since 1981. For many years the restaurant has been a natural meeting place for locals, cabin guests and travellers.

We are proud to continue the tradition of good food, friendly atmosphere and personal service.

At our restaurant you order at the counter – a simple and traditional solution that allows us to provide quick and friendly service, even when the restaurant is busy.

You are welcome to sit down first, take your time looking at the menu, or ask us for recommendations.
